How we check

How we find and check each lead

Every lead passes the same six steps, from a content email to your file

From a content email to your file

Skip the steps
  1. Engaged

A professional engages with B2B content

They open an email about a report or a guide on a work topic. Then they click a link, fill a form or open the file

    What counts as engaged
Opened the emailthen one ofClicked a linkFilled a formOpened the file

A click alone does not make a lead. Every lead that reaches you is double-checked: online, then by a call

  2. Recorded

    We record what and when

We keep the exact title of the content and the date. We count its age from the earliest date on record

    How old a lead is
    Online checkEngagedCallToday

    The age counts from here

A lead has the content's date, and a check's date when we have one. We count from the earliest, so a lead never looks newer than it is

  3. Online check

A person checks who they are

The name and title are checked online against public sources, such as a professional profile or the company website

Side by side with a public page
In the leadOn a public pageName•••• ••••MatchName•••• ••••Job titleCISOMatchJob titleCISO

A public page is a profile with their name, or a page on their company's own site

If the name or the title does not match, we throw the lead out

  4. Call

A phone call confirms the company

A call counts only when a person confirms they work at the company. No answer and a voicemail do not count

What a call has to prove

    Calling the company

    • A person confirms they work hereConfirmed by a call
    • No answer or a voicemailDoes not count
    • They left the companyThrown out
  5. Matched

We match them to your buyers

Job title, company size and topic must fit the buyers you named, and industry when you name one. Every lead is in the US. Nothing older than 90 days, from the earliest date on record

  6. Your file

    You get the leads

As a CSV file. Each lead shows the content title and the date. Every row passed both checks

Our limits

What we do not claim

  1. We do not say these people will buy

They engaged with content on your topic. Your first message decides the rest

  2. We do not know if they remember the content

The call confirmed the employer and nothing more

  3. We do not name where the content was published

The names of the sites and companies we work with stay private

  4. We do not book meetings or write for you

You get the leads, and you write to them

Write to hello@intentchart.com with any question about how we check. A person answers within 1 business day
